SMBDownLoader is meant to help the situation that you're in a big LAN with some windows network shares. Sometimes those computers go on and off, and if you tried to fetch a file from there, your whole download is gone.
With SMB Downloader you can start the download, stop it - and resume it in case something weird happened on your LAN.
Simply use the upper field to select the file you want to download, and the lower field to choose the location where to store the file (you can use it for uploads in windows shares, too!).
